Dinosaur State Park

On Thursday we went to Dinosaur State Park. Mi Mi and Pa Pa met us there. We had a picnic and then we checked out the dinosaur tracks.

We all made it across to look at the tracks. No one fell in the water. Kevin carried Cassidy across because she was scared of the slippery rocks.
Pa Pa at waiting for us to make it back. He didn't venture across the slippery rocks.

Playdate at Gateway Park

On Wednesday we met Alison, Carter and Hayden at Gateway Park in Fort Worth for a picnic. We had originally planned on going to the Botanical Gardens for our picnic, but the traffic on 30 was horrible because it was half price day at the zoo. Alison directed us to this park and we had a great time chatting and watching the kids play. Cassidy and Carter seem to have fun wherever we go so they didn't mind that we weren't at the Botanical Gardens.

Cassidy wanted to sit and watch Hayden. He is such a sweet little guy. I was trying to get a picture of her kissing him, but it didn't work out.

Carter and Cassidy went to explore the woods at the park.

Playdate at Central Park in Lewisville

On Tuesday we met my friend Angie and her sweet little girl Addison at Central Park in Lewisville. Angie and I went to college together and student taught at the same school. She is an amazing person and her little girl Addison is super sweet and well behaved. The girls played so well together. Addison turns 3 in July. She and Cassidy are almost the same size! Addison and Cassidy had so much fun playing together. I wish we could see the Booths more often. They are such a neat family.

When we finished playing at Central Park we met Randy and Kevin at Logans Roadhouse for a nice family dinner. I have actually known Randy a little bit longer than Angie. I met Randy when I first moved down to Texas. When I met Angie in college I insisted that she meet my friend Randy. Well, they really hit it off and are married with a beautiful little girl Addison. They are such a sweet family I love spending time with them.

Cassidy spent the night at Mi Mi and Pa Pa's after we went to the zoo last Sunday. Kevin went to pick her up on Monday and they enjoyed a day of fishing while I enjoyed a movie and lunch with some friends from work. I missed going to Mi Mi and Pa Pa's but I really enjoyed the movie and lunch. It was the perfect start for our spring break!

FW Zoo :)

We decided to start our Spring Break with a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo on the 15th. The day started out a little chilly and overcast, but it ended up being a beautiful day. Cassidy was super spoiled because both sets of her Grandparents joined us along with her cousins Lynn & Dean. It was soooo much fun!!! We got there shortly after they opened and there wasn't much of a crowd. All of the animals were out and awake except the Lion he was sleeping. I love the Fort Worth Zoo!
Failed attempt at a family picture :)
Pa Pa held Cassie up to see a bird.
Lion cub. Cassidy and Lynn really enjoyed watching the lion cubs play. There were three of them and their proud Mommy was watching them. It was really neat to see that!
Proud Mommy :)
This is a White Tiger if you can't tell. I thought this picture was cool because you can see how close it is to Cassidy's face. That glass gets so dirty it's really hard to get a good picture.
Black Bear. Kevin took this picture I think it turned out great. He likes to take pictures of the animals and I enjoy taking pictures of the kids.
Cassidy listening to some animals facts. I love the expression on Lynn and Cassidy's face in this picture.
Checking out the Jaguars.
Grandpa and Cassidy
Checking out more animals.
Checking out the snakes.
The girls did a pretty good job in the wagon. They both wanted to walk a lot which wore them out.
I took Dean into the reptile house. He loved running around. He is such a good little boy. He spent most of the zoo trip in his stroller. I don't think he cried one time. I love him so much!

Checking out the flamingos and ducks.

I started Celebrating my birthday on March 1st (my actual b-day is the 2nd). My Dad's B-day is 27th so we shared a family party with Jeff's family, Our family, and Kevin's parents at my Mom and Dad's. I continued to celebrate on Monday at school my inclusion class sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a card. I love that Class. Mrs. Ocheskey rocks!!! That evening we celebrated by eating Taco Bueno and catching up on shows on the DVR. I then celebrated again on Thursday with my wonderful team at my school. They really spoiled me. That night I met up with an old high school friend who bought me dinner and drinks at Razoos!!! Saturday we had a celebration at our house with family and friends. Then this Sunday we headed back to Flower Mound to hang out with my parents and Jeff's family. It was a very busy week, but it was such an awesome birthday week. I think we will continue to celebrate each birthday for an entire week.... I felt so loved by everyone, and VERY spoiled. Just one more week until Spring Break!!! I CAN'T wait!!!!

FACEBOOK

A few weeks ago Kevin convinced me to get on facebook. I didn't want to do it, but I'm so glad that I did. I have found so many old friends from all over the US that I didn't think I would ever talk to again as long as I lived. The only small downfall is at first it was a little time consuming. I haven't been on our blog as much because I've been tracking down old friends, talking to family members who live all over the US and catching up with co-workers and friends that live close by on FB. It's just amazing at how awesome FB is. For example, I found a good friend from high school ( my second high school in IL) who actually lives in Lewisville. We had dinner and caught up the week of my birthday. It has been amazing!!! I'm on the band wagon a little late I know, but I do love Facebook! My only complaint is FB doesn't have spell check. That goodness Kevin can spell he helps me all the time. Even though he does get somewhat annoyed with me asking how to spell simple words. His quote, "I'm not your spell check!"
